Did you know…
That the most common reason for a failed start of the generator sets is due to battery failure? Statistics shows that approximately 80% of all failed starts derived from battery failure. The batteries may have passed the best before-date, the batteries may have been subject of external damage or maybe the rectifying charge is out of range. When batteries are on normal charge they may look okay, but when needed they can’t handle the load.
Batteries needs to be tested, either through a battery test or through start test of the generator set. During the tests the low voltage limit is measured and only then can you detect flaws to the battery system.
In conclusion, if you want to minimize the risk that the generator sets won’t start when needed, check your battery system. If you need any help, don’t hesitate to contact our service department at +46 660 – 728 07.
